Shadow Shot Time

This gorgeous frog posed for me back on May 30th .. every time I passed him, deep in "garden mode" I could hear him clear his throat and stoically pose trying to catch my attention.
Well done frog !
I finally paid you your dues, and took a picture of your perfect shadow shot pose!
Now for those other very special shadow shots from my talented shadow companions you have to go over to Tracy's place Hey Harriet and enjoy those wonderful shots !

Lovely froggy friend shadow shot. The sun was actually out this week so I've got one for this week too.

So glad you listened to that old frog... well done to you.

The shadow shot frames the frog beautifully. (Somehow I feel I should capitalize "frog" in this case!)

Beautiful (if not demanding!) frog. I thought of you today, I was at Home Depot buying paint, and there was a new rack FULL of different heuchera varieties, I took a pic but had to walk away. Although I might return...;)

Your garden frog looks quite at home in the shadows!

BE MY COMPANION

Come here, my shadow,
Do not delay;
Be my companion,
Show me the way;
Teach me your secrets,
Chant as we go
Of light and darkness—
Make my heart glow!

Hello Linda girl and thank you !
I am very impressed with the fuchsia shots you have on your site .. beautiful ! Looking for your shadow shot girl ;-)

Thank you Carolyn girl .. that cicada was such a cool close up ! I could almost hear that high pitched drone they do .. I didn't know how beneficial they are .. we keep learning every day and then some with being gardeners right ? LOL

LOL ! Patricia that is very kind of you on behalf of "Frog" he appreciates the attention very much : )

Lona girl .. I know .. I am terrible about paying attention to my garden buddies here .. once I am in full plant mode I sometimes have to remember to come up for air and look around ? LOL

Rebecca girl ! isn't that funny I was in Home Depot the other day but they only had two varieties of heuchera so I passed that and bought to baskets of fuchsia .. I can't believe you didn't get any ?Go back there girl and get at least two !!!

Since he finally caught your eye, is he actually a prince?? The rest of your garden shadows are beautiful in subject and shadow, too. Does a frog really say 'Ribbit'??

CanadianGardenJoy said...

MMT you were lost in the shuffle some how ! Thank you for the shadowy glow in your words : )

Hello Kay and wow! on those Swiss mountain shots girl !

Ralph .. yes, he is my frog prince and yes he does murmur ribbit very quietly : ) Thank you !

Hello there Ms. S girl : ) and thank you ! .. I hope you are also getting some sun as well ? .. wouldn't it be great to put in an "order" of what weather we want each day ? haha

Karen girl this is a week end of OUCH! haha .. some intense garden work to be done and it is painful but that will pass eventually and my garden will look almost the way I want it to .. so it is worth it!

Thank you Lynette for dropping by and wow ! on your pictures in the desert area with those fantastic mountain ? rock formations? and the storm to give you a chill ! haha

Tracy girl thank you : ) I am chin deep ? in garden work so rest will have to happen another day but hopefully garden will look good ... eventually ? LOL

What a cute frog and so talented to balance on that stake so nicely! Oh Joy, wanted to let you know I now have a cute little bird bath up(at your suggestion). And a bird feeder close by so now I await my first permanent residents in the chickadee house! They did find the food & I was so excited to see that...Seemed to pick out the sunflower seeds and leave the rest. Picky eaters? Happy SSS.

Cassie girl that is wonderful .. I do worry about my couple though .. i haven't seen any activity for ages .. I am afraid they may have changed their minds about my little house .. but the best attraction for them truly is the water and seed combo .. so I am sure it will be successful for you !!
