Shadow Shot Time

My first thought for a "Shadow Shot" was "Thinking Gargoyle" .. poor guy never gets to be highlighted in any of my posts .. so this is a special one for him!
... and then I just couldn't resist "Winthrop" because he is sitting in the shadow world too : )
Then I thought .. so close to Halloween it has to have something "creepy" in this post, right ?
So my huge spider sitting on the dining room light is perfect !
... and then I thought (yes .. more brain cells are being zapped this morning) .. how can you have a spider without a fly ? remenisant of all the old "The Fly" movies that were so corny !
Finally my signiture header picture to top it all off  .. that was from last year .. this year seems a little less Halloweeny for me .. drats ! The Great Pumpkin will not be happy with me : (
So .. for more unusual shadow shots make sure you fly on your broomstick and visit Tracy with Hey Harriet showing off all the other worldly ? shadow shooters and a Happy Halloween for you all !
PS .. I tried out an OLD script to stamp my name but I wonder if you can make it out it is so fancy: )

Love that spider Joy. I have them on my lights also. You're right it does seem a little less Halloweeny this year. I'm trying, brought up the lighted cat this am and table set for a Halloween celebration tonight!

I like your header - it is a bit spooky, and although there seems to be cats ears, I have thought of this as a Halloween bear. Fabulous!

The gargoyle is really misunderstood. We see them as frightening at times, but with his intellect, he stays deep in thought - the thinking person's gargoyle...

Neat chandelier! A spider that big is one haht would never be challenged by Linus our cat. The better part of valor...or is the cat merely scared??

Boy am I late post SSS, but the derned computer wouldn't let me sign in this AM and I had to go to work, but mu SSS is up and running!

I can't get in the mood for Halloween either this year, I didn't even decorate my room at Sisters' Garden...I'm over it, maybe it's cause I'm knee deep in bones at me and my daughters' shop...ya think...but we are having so much fun and the stuff is selling!

The posters are awesome and I sold 8 the first day...SWEET...just hung another skeleton as well, what a blast they are and what fun comments we get...never a dull moment in my world!!!

Have a sunny weekend, enjoy while we can...LOVE the gargoyle!!!

Any shadows anywhere are kind of creepy at this time of year!

SHADOW SHOW

Shadows creeping through the land,
Shadows dark on every hand—
If they should begin to glow,
You had better run, you know!

For some reason now I have the song about the old lady who swallowed the spider to catch the fly.....
Halloween is our favorite day of the year, but for some reason not getting the buzz this year. We don't even have pumpkins up. Don't know what that is about.
Cool photos,like them all!!

Happy Halloween! Great shadow shots as always. I like the one of Winthrop with his back turned to us. Turning your back on a camera seems like a gargoyle kinda thing to do.

Rose girl I was totally impressed with your daughter's decorating and such a fun time with the party and the kids ! She was totally in the swing of things .. my favourite was the shot of the china cabinet and cobwebs : ) that was totally COOL !!! LOL

VP ! My goodness girl ! I haven't seen you in ages ;-) what do you think of the new Dr. Who by the way ? .. I think he is great : )but not everyone is thinking so .. can't please the whole crowd eh ? LOL

Jennifer how true is that ? Typical behavior so what can I say ? At least I got "Thinking Gargoyle" in a candid pose ? LOL

New Dr Who? Was great, but got a bit bored in the latest series :( Hubby rather likes Amy Pond though... ;)

Some of it gets filmed very close to where we live!

CanadianGardenJoy said...

VP girl : ) I think a lot of the male viewers like Amy .. she is a cutie .. filmed near you ? my gosh I would be sneaking around to see if I could see THEM ! haha
