Shadow Shot Time

There are lots of little shadows and reflections in the past shot (I had to reach back to former shots since our weather has been totally uncooperative ? for shadow shots)
Above my name is a spider web that reflects some of the light .. and of course the Golden Spirit smokebush flower has numerous shadows and reflections .. a wonderful reminder of the past garden year : )
Tracy at Hey Harriet will show case many different "takes" on shadows from us "shadow shooters" so go over and have a peek at the shadow world we share once a week !

It is a wonderful reminder of the gardening season past. Time does fly. My garden is slowly melting in the cycle of freeze thaw.

Ah, your picture takes me back to warmer days and green (mostly) flora. Winter is a grayer time, the distant southern sun weak to non-existent. So warm memories will have to do in Kingston and everyplace up north. Dreaming - I am good at that!

What a lovely mix of light and shadows!

IF I WERE A SHADOW

If I were a shadow,
I would seek the light;
There I would glow sleekly,
Black and shiny bright!

Shadowy Grass and Snowy Shadows

Our weather is too dark and grim for shadows right now, is yours the same? Seems we'll have some bright shiny weather soon but that also means it's bringing the cold temperatures with it!

I had to do a 'double take' to find the spider web. What a fantastically, well composed photo.

the wispy vs. strong contrasts in this shot are superb!

You captured quite a bit in this photo, Joy. Glad you looked back. With the snow on the way, shadows will abound, it is just getting out into the cold to get them that is the problem.

I want summer back. This is what your photo makes me think. I might even stamp my foot and cry and carry on. Nah. I'd better act my age [for a change]. Still, your photo makes me think about summer and how quickly it came and went. Love the little spider web too. Who'd a thunk right? Me? Love a spider web? That's how much I'm missing summer and it's not even winter yet. Okay enough of my whining. Stay warm.

Gracie girl hello there .. I am sorry I have been quiet here (not like me at all eh ?) .. health issues running wild and weather changing all the time doesn't help .. girl I am ready fro Spring the second Xmas is over !!!hahaha
I don't blame you one bit !

Lola girl I so hope so .. this past garden year was just not right some how .. it didn't make me feel the way I usually do from my garden .. you know that deep satisfaction thing we get from our gardens ? I am so hoping that 2012 will be a better one !
