I have to combine a few other shots with my Shadow Shot .. the sky and garden demand it !
I think when I bought two of these beautiful wooden plates the person said they were Ukrainian .. their art reminds me of those amazing beautifully decorated Easter eggs that they are famous for.
The shadows are both soft and yielding in some areas and yet hard and linear in others ..
Some what like life ?

Thursday night had a glorious moon that I captured with my older camera .. Friday I made sure I set up the long zoom range on my new camera to be ready ... and of course it changed its position and I missed it .. but my faithful older camera snapped it up for me in any case !
I have to post some flowers in honour of Easter weekend .. so here are a couple from my garden .. which is waking up slowly again and demanding attention of course !
Fresh and natural from my garden to you all .. have a wonderful weekend !

So Joy, how is the new camera treating you? Lovely shots, of course I am drawn to the crocus, love the way they spill down the screen in the shot.
You have bulbs blooming...hmmmm. I need to search out some around here, there has got to be some. LOL.

You have a wonderful week-end too!
Gorgeous color on the plates.
I'm fascinated by the wooden plate. It's gorgeous!
Your flowers are lovely. Your Spring has finally sprung. :)
I like the shadowy face of the moon, looking so impressive on this clear and cloudless evening - wonderfully captured! The easter plants are lovely, especially the lavender ones - it looks as its petals are aimed upward in appreciation of the warm sun feeding it lavishly. So cool...Happy Easter!
What delightful shadow shots for the day!! Your flowers are beautiful, love the colors! Hope your weekend is going well! Happy Easter!

Love your spring flowers....spring is really quite lovely this year! Pretty Ukrainian style plates....one year I tried making those Ukrainian eggs....wow...let's just say that's the last time I made them ~ what a craft it is (takes a lot more practice that one go of it!!) ha!
The shadows create a fascinating canvas for displaying the beauty of those wooden plates! And your moon is so full of romantic beauty!
Thatz a lovely collection! My choice is that Moon macro:)
the plates are beautiful, you can feel history in them
the moon is startling in its clarity
and your garden is a joy
Lovely photo of the moon. So clear. I like how you have the crocus coming up through the lamium. Wonderful background for them. You've given me an idea.
Hi Joy, I hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend. That is a terrific close-up of the moon and the one of the hellebores (in the header) is also just great! I was out in the garden all afternoon and it was marvellous! I cleared out the dead evergreens from my planters and put in some pansies. Your crocus look so nice, I wish now that I had planted more.
Saw this and thought of your sumac.
