There it is .... a cold silent rock with sharp edges .. but what of it's shadow ?
Softer edges perhaps? vulnerable? .. a complete opposite maybe ?
Visit the other worldly shadow shooters and ask those questions of their shots and see.
Are they so different?

Love your background. They say fools seldom differ ... and I use the same one.
Interesting shadow. No shadows visible today as it is raining, raining, raining. I guess that is better than snowing, snowing, snowing. (in my opinion)
Great shadow shot and I do love the soften edges of the shadow as compared to the rock itself!! Isn't it fun where we find them once we start looking!! Have a wonderful weekend!
LOVE THE NEW HEADER...especially the one on the bottom right...reminds me of my sweet blue. i have lots of shots just like that one!! love the softer shadow edges of the rock...reminds me people who tend to have that rough exterior but are marshmallows inside. happy weekend joy!!!
Yes, I think the shadows are soft and vulnerable. Good shot!
Lady of Sorrows
WazzUp, Lady? How are you and the rest of your lovelies?
This is a great shot. Crispy shot means sunny day. Perfect.
Have a blessed day.

This rock appears to be a flagstone, flat and pointed. Although upon a second glance. the shadow is far beyond a flat stone as the shadow seems to indicate the depth of a much thicker rock. Unless the flagstone is floating in the air which would be eerie. The plot (if not the stone) thickens...
Loving that rock, hmmmm if I had a few more like that....I could have a rock garden.
Great shot.
Jen
good observation on a pretty shot

First of all I wanted to say... love your header!!!! Gorgeous! As for the post, what a lovely rock, love the colours... shadow is a lovely colour, kind of a blue! Cheers!
Happy SSS. I love your new header photos.
Such a vivid and solid shadow shot!

Hope you'd come and see when you get a chance.
What an intricate looking stone. Lots of variation in that piece. Is it local to the area? I noticed while driving through Ontario several years ago all the rock there, it's quite beautiful.
