Happy Gardener

I have to say I am very happy with parts of the garden .. so far ?
I would have to recommend "Ballerina" tulip, even to a non-tulip gardener like me !
She has stayed in gorgeous form for weeks now and even though she looks more red than orange this year I am not complaining !

Now how could you not fancy this tulip ?

Another plus that is making my day is that Golden Spirit is leafing out with now problem .. so it has to be happy with it's transfer right ?
I am hoping for some gorgeous colours come Fall (yes .. I know .. talking about Autumn already ?)
That is what a gardener does .. time jumps .. you have to .. a garden is constantly in flux and you have to imagine another look for another season .. so I am trying to keep up with my imagination and the potential of my garden .. another few weeks when the heat and humidity gets to me ? ...
I will be saying some naughty words and wondering what the heck did I get into yet again !

I do love those Ballerinas - look especially nice with the Japanese maple nearby! I may have to add them to my list for next year...

What a lovely display of tulips you have. They have all finished in my garden now, but I'm hoping to add more for a better display next year.

Hello Jen girl !
Thank you very much .. once it gets going .. it gets GOING ! haha
Yes .. Ballerina is a lily lip tulip and I find they hold their form a lot longer than the other ones .. it is a favorite of mine for sure !

Hello there Elaien girl !
My daffs are just about done now too .. they were lovely but I forgot to take pictures of the front garden where they looked wonderful !! BIG sigh

Yes .. add Ballerina .. she is a beauty!

Hello Outlaw and yes .. my second year with them and they are looking great eh ? .. but funny enough I could swear they were more orange last year .. maybe my Japanese maple did something to them ? LOL

Hello Paula .. I love what you have done with your garden .. and you are like me .. a sucker for new plants and constantly changing things around in the garden ..can't help ourselves eh ? LOL

Nadezda girl if you have the chance to get them DO ! I know you won't be disappointed .. they truly are a lovely tulip !

Joy, when I opened up your blog and saw that photo!! oh my I think I love those tulips. utterly stunning. I laughed when you mentioned heat and humidity, last week when it was so hot I found myself already cursing the weather under my breath. This week it's been so cold - I take it all back!!

Tamara .. I loved your "story" of the workers in the green house .. I had a great laugh with the sleeping poses and the pizza! .. YES ! if you get the chance do plant Ballerina, they are so worth it: )

Carolyn girl thank you and I know your gardens must look spectacular by now .. I have to pop over and see about those multitude of roses you bought !

OH!!! Marguerite(thank you !) ..
we have such a short window of Spring weather I utterly cry when the heat and humidity does come .. so I try to work way too hard during the cooler time .. this weekend is going to be fantastic so I better get myself in gear here .. hope you get just the right weather too girl !!

Joy, that tulip is gorgeous. I am not one to save tulips in the garden because I have not been able to have them come back consistently. I do love them so this is one I should try.

Tulips make me happy, too! As does seeing a shrub beginning to leaf out. I was beginning to worry I had made a mistake pruning my beautyberry too early, but it's finally putting out some leaves, so I'm breathing a sigh of relief.

We went from spring to summer within a couple of days here; I'm already complaining about the heat:)

Maybe the heat and humidity will be a little more friendly this year.

The tulips look wonderful and your Cotinus--I'm jumping for joy! It looks wonderful. I'm so glad the transplant went well.

How's it going with the menfolk? Is John back yet? Wondering about you.

Have a great week!

Eileen girl ! ( I have to get over to your place!) .. YES ! I find this tulip is my favorite .. although if I find more this Fall I will plant more to make sure they do look as nice as this again ! Try them girl !

Rose you have wonderful tulips .. no wonder they make you happy !!
I wish I could have as many as you but the squirrel mafia won't cooperate ? LOL
I understand about the Beauty Bush .. I love my shrubs too, so when one is in jeopardy ? I sweat it out .. just like my smoke bush had me going for a while! LOL

Gracie girl .. I so owe you an e-mail .. I will try to get that done! .. YES !! I am so happy about my Golden Spirit .. we had loads of rain last night so the garden is a jungle and I kid you not .. when you go from barren to jungle mode it can be overwhelming !
