End of my season

I'm angry, sad, FRUSTRATED as hell ... but it looks like the end of the season for me till next year. Wednesday morning at 4 AM is when it started .. I woke up half asleep half awake in the middle of a bloody nightmare. Bolted out of bed and crashed into my solid wood nightstand ...

Long story short ... I fractured my humerus bone , sheering it off under the head of the ball that fits in the socket ... so it will be over three months before I can do a real post.

This is the most painful injury I have ever had and the most frustrating ... the garden is coming into prime and I can't work in it .. is Karma trying to tell me something ?

Hope you all stay well and happy in your own gardens !!!

I'm so sorry to hear this. All I can do is wish you quick and complete healing - and hope that, somehow, you can get some kind of free help with your garden for the rest of this year.

Hello! I don't really know what to say; you must feel really frustrated and I can't really do anything to help you... I can only wish you a speedy recovery and hope that you will find an activity that will help you to go through the time needed for getting well. I hope your garden will continue to thrive and give you much joy with it's beauty.
Big hugs!

That's not karma, just very bad luck! I'm sorry you've had such a bad break (literally) and I hope the pain is manageable and your recovery proceeds smoothly. The garden will be there when you're up and around again. In the meantime, I trust that you cats will keep you company and help your spirits.

I'm very sorry to read this. I broke my wrist in Jan 2020--January is prime gardening time in my region of SoCal--so I did what I could, very small things, one-handed the non-dominant one), very slowly.

Many times it's just good to be out there--even if you can't do anything, the birds are singing, the butterflies are fluttering through--the sun is warm and the breeze is cool--there is still beauty to be treasured.

Best wishes for a good recovery. Your garden will wait patiently--it's not going anywhere without you!

I'm so sorry! Dear Joy, don't worry and don't be disappointed. The bone in your shoulder will grow together, and you will be able to enjoy your plants again and we are with you. It takes time for the body to cope with the injury. Hope to read your blog soon.

Well my goodness, what a terrible stroke of bad luck your way. I hope your recovery will be quick and that you will be back to creating in your bit of paradise. Thank you for all the postings and inspirations you are sending out and we are hoping for more as soon as you are able to share again. Oh Joy, I’m so sorry to hear this! Is there any way you can swing hiring out for help this year? I know it’s not the same as doing it yourself. I wish you healing and care!

Cleaning some old files I saw you had left a comment on my blog some years back. Thank you.
I see that you had an accident last year. I hope you are much better.
I gave up my blog a few years back because I have Parkinson and even if gardening is no problem, typing is.
It looks like we might have a early spring - happy gardening
