Saturday's Project

I know .. the pictures are not what I wanted but they are what they are ? (my excuse is I had to take them in shadow .. afternoon sun was hitting all the wrong spaces !)
I finally got some of the plants actually planted, and sunk a rather large stone to become a stepping stone with some river rock .. for "my" door to the garden playhouse ! .. it took me on my knees, working with a "building blast site" .
The deck crew and shed guys compacted the stony earth beyond what I had expected and it was truly hard work getting this done .. the aches and pains are definitely LOUD about the body doing what it should not be doing .. but hey , we are GARDENERS who sometimes have to do a bit of landscaping ?
In any case I think the results are pretty darn nice, considering what it all looked like originally ... phew ! : )

Can you tell I am from the east coast with all of the driftwood .. albeit "lake" driftwood ?

It looks great Joy! I know you are happy to have the construction & deconstruction coming to an end. :)

Driftwood is a pretty good thing in my books...I have the odd bit of it here in my garden too, if you can imagine that. Isn't it nice to have spring here in earnest?

Aches and pains aside, this is too wonderful for words. I love this little "place". Although I do hope that you feel 100% soon. Love the little path.

Hello there Rosemary and thank you : )

Racquel .. Thank you girl !
You are SO right about being happy this is DONE and I can play in the garden (as soon as I get over the aches again ! haha)
I'll do proper "before & after pictures in a while.

Hey there Jodi ! Now you know you have to post at least one picture with a piece of driftwood for me ? LOL .. you would be surprised how cool it is yet here in south eastern Ontario .. but I am NOT complaining .. I know that deadly heat and humidity will strike us eventually .. I'm glad you guys down there are finally getting decent weather though, enjoy !!

Debbie girl ! Thank you .. I said the same thing this morning : ) I can't believe I can get out of bed too ! haha !

Hi Cathy, thanks ! Yes .. bits of it do bring a different element of interest in the garden .. especially the aged gray woods.

Hi there Jen .. Thank you so much girl ! I'm thinking I finally have my playhouse now ? : ) .. I'll take today off so I can groan and moan properly ? haha

Hey there 'ben" .. yup ! I think I did pretty good even if I fannied around a bit before hand .. the brain cells clicked in with sinking the stepping stone (it would have been FUNNY to see me do it though ? haha).
