A mixed bag ......

OK .. I used to do a thing called Hodge Podge Friday ... it seems I have to fall back on that today ... just one of those crutches we use in blogging right ??
A couple of nights ago there was this gorgeous Autumn sky .. not a yellow moon but still one that had to be admired .. eventually .. when that zoom lens worked its magic?

You could feel the cold of the sky just by looking at the pictures ?
Then this morning .. there was a sky to be admired yet again ....

I did not colour these photos artificially .. this is what the camera picked up at different stages
A bank of clouds still lingered to the left .. but the sun was going to win out
Yes .. it was a wee bit cool this morning ;-)
A visitor seemed to want to speak to me as I ran screaming down the hallway ...........
I almost looked into those eyeeessss of his ? her?
Then it was time to go to work ... a quick flight was in order ......

OK ... so this isn't the scariest post you will see from me .. but I just know it was leading you on the Halloween path of ..... what is she up to ??? hehehehe
Just too cutesy right ??

I have been so behind in doing justice for Halloween I had to buy a GIANT spider today (and it was a very good Halloween FIX let me tell you ! hehehe) the moon has been very nice but I so want to see one of those gorgeous yellow harvest moons .. I wonder when that will appear or do I have to conjure one up for Halloween ??

Joy, I don't know how you get those shot of the sky, moon, clouds, etc. We must be too poluted here to see any of this. Or, are you up early in the morning eating the Halloween Candy?

I actually saw a new movie today, Conviction with Hillary Swank, Oscar stuff, she was teriffic!

Fun post Joy, but I REALLY think you should call someone about the spider...

Beautiful sky. The clouds this time of year make for some great sunrises and sunsets.

Ha ha...you are so silly, Joy. It's that sense of humour that keeps you going - always! Love those photos, especially of the moon; they're simply amazing!

It was great hanging out with you today. I always enjoy our chats.

Oh, Joy, I forgot to mention that I changed my blog's name from "Water Roots" to "Plowing Through Life", in case my new blog name is showing up in comments and you're confused with who the hell this "Plowing Through Life" poster is. Ha ha...

Eileen girl I have a view that is high on top of a lot of limestone , limestone city Kingston .. so yes i think our air is pretty clear here with out a lot of industry .. more white collar and university/college settings .. I am very lucky : )
Now eating Halloween candy first thing in the morning .. you gave me that idea so I can blame you now girl! hahaha
I like Hillary Swank and you have me interested in that movie !

Rebecca girl he/she popped out of thin air and took over the dining room chandelier .. all sort of Halloweeny ? hehehe

Bonnie girl I have so many sky photos it is overwhelming .. during the winter I will be working on my sky blog over on Type Pad. I love taking pictures of the sky : )

Martha girl I was just over at your place updating your link and commenting .. I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Inksi .. I understand how you must have felt .. and you are right .. ignorance is bliss .. I haven't seen the chipmunk that visited our garden a while back .. and knowing how many cats roam out neighborhood .. plus traffic is a factor .. well .. the cycle of life is short for those little sweeties, sadly.

Gail girl the build up with my favorite time of year is overwhelming .. it flies by so quickly .. my spider (I have to think of a name for it yet) came from all places a drugstore ... in Canada .. well Ontario especially we have so many "Shopper's Drugmarts" and they sell EVERY THING ! haha

Such a giant spider. Don't stand under the light fixture. I am worried about your safety

All the shots are good, but I really like that first one.

Hey there BTG : ) it is one BIG spider I don't intend to make angry for sure ! hehehe .. I have to do decorating this week for the front step so my buddy there will be moving to scare the trick&treaters!
PS Thank you for your concern with the safety issue and HUGE spider leering at me ... hehehehehe

Sandy girl I was out last night trying to capture that amazing moon and with no tripod it is a losing battle .. note to self .. get a good tripod some time ?! LOL
