The "Frost Fairy"

A few mornings ago the "Frost Fairy" danced in my garden ..... these are some of the plants that she tapped her wand with ?

Mornings like these .. well I wish I had taken many, many other pictures ... but the Frost Fairy was freezing something else ? wink wink
One note .. this was an amazing event that had almost individually frozen the tree leaves .. they actually made noises as they fell in the garden .. I can't describe how it felt other than magical ?

You've really captured the beauty of the moment, Joy! These frosty photos are lovely. But in my garden I have only the remnants after Jack has left--a lot of brown, mushy plants:)

Joy, you make frost seem lovely, I want to hide & cry lol! Beautiful pictures, and the sound of the leaves must have been wonderful to hear. :)

Hello Rose girl ! Thank you so much!
Hey I have those very same remnants as well girl ... I just didn't point the camera in their direction ? LOL

Darla girl thank you : ) I so wish I had taken more pictures it was just one of the most beautiful mornings possible during this time of the year.

Hello there Rebecca girl : )
I can't find the right words to express how those moments felt .. it was profound, I know that sounds dramatic but I think almost every gardener has moments like that at some time in their life and they "get it" .. I know you DO : )

Lisa girl the frost fairy was one busy career gal that made sure she did her job ! LOL

Lovely frosty images Joy! You had a light weight fairy about . . . she had a lighter touch. Oh but we know it is only a matter of time. ;>)

Carol girl I was just over at your place drooling over the sights that you see with that perfect Atlantic ocean coast .. I miss it all the time. Spectacular pictures girl !!!
Congrats on your son too : ) We are in the same club ! haha

What a beautiful job she did giving all your beautiful plants a dusting of frost. :)

Love you look, Joy! Frost hits some things nicer than others, doesn't it? I have never seen leaves freeze like that, I see what you mean about the noise.

Racquel girl i thin she should have a pay raise for the quality of work she is performing ? LOL

Sandy .. it was one of those remarkable moments when you have magic in the garden .. I regret not taking more time and more pictures but I am grateful for the ones I captured : )

Wow, your frost fairy left some serious magic behind. We had some frost this morning but I only took one photo of it ~ now it's snowing!
Guess what? 'Maypop' didn't return. I didn't think it would ~ it just wasn't happy ~ I never found the right spot for it and moved it too many times for it to ever get established. Maybe someday I'll try again? I did buy another passion vine and although it grew well it never bloomed. Maybe I just have bad luck or a black thumb with that family?

Love the frost on those leaves. Makes them way more beautiful.

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Kathleen girl both you and I must have a wicked brown thumb when it comes to those vines .. I had a wonderful one a few years ago but since then I never seem to have any luck .. and certainly not one as a perennial one HERE ! haha
OMG ! you have snow .. I guess it won't be long here now too ;-)

Hello there visioplant ! Thank you for stopping by : ) YES ! frost does make a beautiful impression on pants doesn't it ?

The frost fairy was around this morning too. Did you get some more photos?

CanadianGardenJoy said...

Hi Linda .. I am just trying to get outside now but we didn't have a really heavy frost .. it has been very warm here and the frost isn't showing up as well, darn it! : )

I've been too wimpy to go out and see what the frost fairy has been doing to my garden. Brrrr! But yours are gorgeous. Maybe tomorrow morning I'll go out. Or maybe I'll just stay inside all warm and cozy! LOL

Robin girl it was just the magic of the moment that caught me .. I was out there in my BIG FUZZY PINK housecoat so I was quite a sight .. but then again .. not too many people out that early in the morning ? haha
Stay in and keep those toes warm girl! hahaha
