Shadow Shot Time

July 2nd already ? Canadian's celebrated our 144 birthday yesterday !
My but we are getting old "EH!" wink wink ... Funny enough my father's family came from Scotland almost 100 years before Canada became a country.
They settled in Nova Scotia, which in other words means "New Scotland" and stayed in the same area for not only decades, but centuries.
They must have liked it very much right ?...what is not to like about Canada anyways!
There is a wild ruggedness, on the east coast of Canada and it draws you in to a special place.
I think it reminded them so much of Scotland they didn't feel that home sick.
Now for the shadow shot ... this day lily smiled at me yesterday and I knew it would be perfect for today.
Looking for more shadow perfections ?... you must drop by Tracy's place Hey Harriet to see what my fellow shadow shooters have captured : ) Over to you Tracy girl !

It is wonderful when we love where we are!! Even with my griping about the gray skies, I love the northwest and would never want to live anywhere else! Your shadow shot for the day is gorgeous! Love the shades of color! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!

I love Canada, and I love the USA as well. There are many beautiful places, as you describe, everywhere. I was just in Ontario last week. I'll be posting about it on Monday and tell you why I crossed the border. I also have highlighted a floral theme taken from the wild flowers in bloom all over the Northland.
Great shadow shot. I bet your garden is just beautiful!

Peace

Happy Canada Day! I haven't been to Ontario in decades, but enjoyed it when there. The second largest country in size, a remarkable place. There is also the longest unprotected border in the world. We are different countries, but I have a real respect for Canada, a beautiful land...

And I will not punctuate my sentences with an EH!

Lovely flower with a shadow!

Wow Joy, I had NO idea that is what Nova Scotia meant. Thanks for the history lesson! Love the ShadowSHot. Beautiful as usual. Happy belated Canada Day! (Since we are only 30miles from the Canadian border, I knew that.) Happy SSS too.

Cassie girl you got lost in-between comments in cyber space ? haha
Hey thanks girl and you have a great 4th of July , watch lots of fireworks and eat a whole lot of great picnic food ! haha

Thank you so much Bev : ) I missed the fireworks and I am an anti monarchist .. I think it is ridiculous to believe one human being is better than another .. I'm not being mean girl .. but Canada should have followed Australia and became a republic by now .. she needs to put on her "big girl" panties and grow up .. plus the budget could use all that useless money thrown away on trite affairs such as that ! : ) Now do you want to know what I really think ? LOL

Lola girl thank you and I hope you have a great 4th of July .. the weather looks good from here !!LOL

LOL, just read your comments about Canada putting on it's big girl panties. I have to admit, I was slightly offended when I heard Prince Will speak about the 'Queen of Canada'. I guess it's true but I have never thought of her as such, rather Queen of England. I'm sure they're nice people and all but what a waste of money. Signed, one who was obviously not out in the streets this morning trying to get a handshake from the royals.

Marguerite girl we are of the same mind .. perhaps I am a wee bit more vocal though ? LOL .. total waste of money and resources and when will Canada wake up ? ... jeez !!

Hey Cat girl thank you : )

Rebecca I just saw all of your beautiful blooms in that last post!!You are in flower heaven right now eh?! LOL
