Shadow Shot Time

It is just too hot outside to take time scrutinizing the best shadow shots possible .. so this is a shot from a few days ago .. early in the morning before the sun had a chance to beat us down here on planet earth !
I have had this "face" for a while and it can be rather amazing how different it will look in assorted areas of the garden .. and it casts a great shadow too!
A win win situation ? haha .. For more top notch shadows to cast your eyes upon, travel way over to Australia to visit Tracy's place Hey Harriet .. You won't be disappointed ;-)

What a beautiful shadow shot for the day! I love it! Wish I could send you some of our cool air -- the coolest summer in over 20 years!! Amazing the difference in the weather both here in the states and Canada! Enjoy your weekend, stay cool!

Hello Lisa girl and thank you : )
Ain't that the truth !! One of our worst summers .. never enough rain to really soak the ground and gardens .. BIG sigh !

You have had some scorchers out your way! Hope it cools a bit for you soon. Here in Edmonton, we have had a very rainy season and are looking forward to the sun in next week's forecast.

The great white north has been getting the same stupid temperatures as us further south (101° in Portland Maine - what is this summer up to!!)

Nevertheless, your well watered garden can survive the heat better than you can, I'm afraid. The early morning thus is the best time to admire your garden. Perhaps the face in the garden can ward off the heat - we can all hope!

We'd say your garden looks great for as hot as it is! We were along Lake Huron this past week and even though there was a lovely lake breeze...it was still quite HOT! Love your picture...full of fun shadows all over :)
Here's to a little bit of cool for us all for the week ahead!!

Shirley the weather has been exhausting and I can't seem to get any garden work done .. but this morning it is less humid and cooler, so hopefully I can get some of my garden chores done !! We have to swap weather for sure !
PS .. Thank you Shirley you are a gem : )

Ralph you are so sweet for always visiting on this meme : ) some times I can't quite make it over to your place and feel red faced ;-(
The weather seems to suck the life out of me and I keep hiding in the house from that horrible heat .. so today with a tiny break in it, I might just get some garden chores done FINALLY !!!!

Girls !! You must have worked very hard at sending cooler weather because by golly it IS this morning : ) .. Thank you ever so much !!!

In your description, when you said "Face", I saw immediately where the shadow made a beard. Very Cool. Hope your week is going well and you are doing good.

Anni your stilt walker was a HOOT! haha .. Yup !! I start getting excited about now .. how funny is that ? One of my favorite classic movies is cary grant in Arsenic and Old Lace ;-) all happening on Halloween night !

Thank you Joe : ) that face has been guarding the garden for quite a few years .. no wonder it has a beard ? LOL .. Your shiny chrome shot was bright and full of nooks and crannies : )

Thank you Tatjanna : )

Glad you are cooler. Still hot here but did get some rain again today. Yah whooooo.
Love that shadow.

Did you get the rain this a.m.? Such a massive whack of thunder and then 5 minutes of less-than-impressive rain. And now the skies are picture perfect blue, with not a cloud to be seen. If nothing else, it's giving me ideas of what needs to be pulled from the garden because of excessive thirst.

What a lovely shadow! The heat has been almost unbearable that's for sure. It's hard to believe so many people are being affected.
take care.

Hi there Lola girl : )
YES !! We are cooler and have had a lot of rain yesterday (Monday) we are supposed to get more and I don't mind a bit .. and neither does the garden I'm sure! .. haha .. hope you are cooler with some rain too !

Barbara we got loads of rain yesterday with cooler temps .. this morning is a mix of clouds and sun but we are supposed to get more rain and clearing tomorrow .. but I will take all the rain (which was constant and finally penetrating the earth aka garden) .. this has been a tough summer .. hope you get more rain girl .. and yes .. pulling the "delicate" problem plants is a good idea !!

Beverly girl thank you !
I hope you are getting some of the cooler temps and rain we are by now .. it has been so hard to work in the garden .. my "sun" bed has been burnt up so I cut a lot of the plants down .. it was just too sad looking.
Hope you get a break girl .. our little break here has been wonderful .. phew !!
