Shadow Shot Time

This has been one of the worst years for drought and heat .. keeping my precious plants "green" and healthy has been such a chore .. I am very grateful to Husband and Number One Son for helping so much !
So I offer up my variegated Solomon's Seal as cool green relief with a touch a shadow play : )

Along with the protective shadows, this is a cool looking plant - the sun hasn't turned it yellow yet :)

The worst of summer is passing, relief at least in temperatures. I would prefer to not have a snowy winter, but if we do - perhaps the drought may be averted next year...

The light illumines the beautiful textures of the leaves and the shadows create a glorious contrast! Wonderful macro!

Dear Ralph .. I can't get to your shadow shot .. a error message says it is down, your blog I mean ?
I will put up with snow for the sake of the water table coming back up to almost normal again for next year .. we both agree on that one!!

Thank you so much Gemma .. all of us in this meme have come to appreciate the light values so much more than before we joined : )

Great shot and plant!
We've had a heck of a time with our plants as well. We concentrated on the vegetable gardens tho.
