Wordless Wednesday

Julia Child was not a rose I was hunting for .. but the promise of wonderful scent drew me and snagged me.
I didn't want another yellow rose .. I am hunting for white ones .. especially Sugar Moon which seems to be almost nonexistent with Canadian providers .. I will have to wait it out .. sitting on my hands .. behaving myself ? eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkk !
Mean while every time I look at Julia .. I hear that very individual ? voice  of the famous chef !
I know ... this was NOT wordless ... go figure .. me wordless ?

Julia would be proud that you honored her on her 100th birthday.

Lisa girl I had no idea it was her birthday today (she was such an extraordinary woman wasn't she ?).. I'm glad this was such a nice coincidence! : )

Isn't it funny that her namesake rose would show up today...

And it's fragrant? Ah roses.

Mine are still not blooming, does threatening them work?

Hi Jen .. it was all total coincidence with me .. I couldn't believe it actually .. of all the plants to post on .. and the roses I have .. she was ingrained in my brain .. try the threatening, it might just work !

What a pretty rose Joy! I love the movie Julie and Julia. Julia was such an interesting character and had such a distinctive voice. Her relationship with her husband is an inspiration to those of us who have been long married. (28 years at the end of the month) Happy 100th birthday Julia!
