HELP !! Question about photo editing programs ?

I have had to dump my old beloved computer with the photo editing programs I was so happy with .. including Picasa which was eliminated by the idiots who didn't want us to have ease of use any more?

Now I have a program from Windows on here that isn't working ... I am probably forced to buy one.
So .. could anyone stop by and tell me what programs you use ?
I am on the dreaded Windows 10 ... BIG sigh !
Here is one picture I managed to take this morning after the garden went to jungle mode from all the rain that fell yesterday.

Green Lotus Peony ... it has a naturally wrinkled appearance .. like a bad morning after ?

Is it just me or do all Peonies only bloom for one day ? Ok for $60.00 I got Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 ( the disk can be used twice) It has tons of stuff that I have no clue what they are ... 99.9 percent of the time I just use light/contrast, sometimes adjust color tool and also crop. Any help ?

I rarely edit a photo. I usually ask Gary to edit it for me if it needs something. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I have 10 on my computer too. It is ok. I just upgraded and it left everything as it was except it changed some colors on my programs and has a photo pop up when I wake up my computer. Haven't figured out how to stop that.

Joy, girl, when you get used to something that works really well and they take it away it's a pain in the behind trying to find something else. There are several free options that you can choose from. Here is a link:

12 Best Free Photoshop Alternatives You Should Try

Here's one more:
11 Online Picture Editors for editing images without installing any software

As for paid software:

An extremely popular editing software is Adobe's Lightroom. I have it installed on my computer but I have barely used it. Not because it isn't good but because I've been using Paintshop Pro for over a decade and I'm extremely happy, comfortable and familiar with it. Why fix what ain't broken, eh?

Anyhow, both Lightroom and Paintshop Pro are very affordable if you'd like something permanently installed on your system.

I hope you find something that works well for you!

Hi, I also have windows 10, but really like it and my 2 photo editing programs are working perfectly on my computer. The one I use most is Corel Paint shop Pro PhotoXI. I didn't buy it. The other one I also like a lot is Photofiltre. This one is free, the one I use is Photofiltre 7, but there are more recent programs on the web. http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/

PhotoFiltre is a free image editor that makes a great lightweight alternative to Photoshop for users who want something more simple and easy to use.Hope this helps, otherwise I'm sure you can find other programs by just searching on the web.
Have a good week, here the weather isn't so fab in Alsace France, lots of rain!

Patsi girl you are a gem and yes about the peony predicament ? My "Flame" lasts longer but can go downhill fast .. White "something" gets bent FAST .. Green Lotus stands up very well.
So I guess it is the type you have that determines how it behaves ?
Still looking at programs .. Garden PA bought one for me but I am not friends with it. LOL

Lisa girl I don't know how you did it but you gave me a great laugh reading your comment!
THANK YOU : ) ... hope you crush that pop up soon !

Hey Martha girl thank you so much ! ... I sent off an email this morning that might be too much information .. my "filter" is broken so I blab on and on ... just cover your eyes and delete ! LOL

Cindee girl thank you : ) .. it really drives me crazy trying to get used to new systems.
And that isn't a long drive for me to go ? haha

Martine thank you so much for your advice ! .. I am going to look PhotoFilter up you have my curiosity ... I am in love with your gardens ... they are so beautiful and in such a gorgeous area of France .. how could you not love life living there !
